Hero’s Sports Lounge and Pizza Company- Downtown’s New and Innovative Spot!
2039 is recieving a new competitor right down the street, and it looks like a 2,000 lb gorilla named Hero’s Sports Lounge. Across the street from Joe’s Steakhouse (try the tri-tip sandwich, amazing) is the completely overhauled new hot spot for downtown employees and visitors. The owner has done everything imaginable and spared no expense in turning one of downtowns eye-soar buildings into what looks like the nicest downtown business addition.
Sticking to the theme of Sports Town, early indications sugges that the Hero’s Lounge may indeed be the galvinizing point for the entire Sports Town District. The building will be 9,000 sq ft of fun for anyone willing to make the trip. After seeing the interior first hand, its safe to say many will make the trip once word spreads.
The art director of Hero’s is Conrad Jimenez, who gave us some of the interesting tidbits of Hero’s.
Some of the exciting features are the bar, which is called the Penalty Box, which will have polished white granite on the bar tops to represent the ‘ice’. The booths which will serve as places to sit and enjoy the ambience will have plasma TV’s above, so sports fans can get their daily fix of NBA, MLB, NFL etc.
The upstairs are will serve as a quiter, more loungy vibe and will be the location for small concerts and performances. Conrad’s vision is to record the performances and live direct them to all of the flat screens positioned around the club, alowing everyone a view of whats going on.
The frontage serves as an example of the amazing transformations that are possible for other atiquated storefronts. The building was restored to show exposed brick, with green borders being painted around the windows and entrance. Hero’s is not even open yet and they have an extremely eye-catching sign.
We will be conducting a more thorough interview with Don the owner, and Conrad the designer very soon.
Until then here are some exciting pictures of the amazing transformation. Extreme Downtown Makeover Edition!!

I checked it out last week. Great bar, food and atmosphere. Definitely worth the 12 minute drive downtown, which is closer than Clovis.
